How Martha are YOU?

TGIF! And no, I’m not referring to the read and white striped awning restaurant. But let me hear an AMEN from the congregation for Friday.AMEN. This weekend is not only the much anticipated Auburn-UGA game (which I fully expect us to beat the pants off of the Bulldogs), but it’s also our anniversary weekend. Our actual anniversary is Tuesday, but Mr. Monogram will be out of town in St. Louis receiving some award so alone I will sit on my anniversary.

So I woke up in one of my navy and green moods today, not exactly feeling much like Martha as the kitchen is a mess, I’m a tad backed up on laundry, and I’ve still got about 10 birthday thank-you notes left to write from mini #2’s birthday party, not to mention all the projects I’ve got on my list that I want to work on that I just haven’t gotten around to. So while I am not feeling very “Martha” today, in comes this great little link from the PP and really, her timing couldn’t be better.

And you know what? I really AM Martha!!

So take the quiz and find out what your inner Martha score is! As for me, with a little more energy now that I feel completely justified in my proclamation of being a Martha Stewart wanna-be, I’m running out the door to take mini #1 to pre-school, mini #2 to the Pediatrician for his annual check-up, and then a quick trip into Hobby Lobby (as if that’s really possible). We’ll probably meet up for a lunch playdate at some point as well. Looking ahead a bit, this afternoon I will have all the Holiday card coupon codes posted for you guys and next week I’ll be chatting about more holiday topics and cards and yes, I’ll have a project or two thrown in there too since I’m starting to break into hives that I haven’t done a good one in a while. Until this afternoon, have a great day everyone!

P.S. Remember those super cute monogrammed loafers? Well they’re making their public debut for the very first time today and I’m so excited!

War Eagle Momma! Also, you will be glad to know that I was 90% Martha. In the interest of truth-telling, that just means that I guessed well. I think I need to read her new book.

Oh, I sure hope Auburn pulls off a BIG victory for us this weekend! I'm sure that would help improve the fact you are spending your anniversary weekend alone. WAR EAGLE!

Happy Anniversary! We are celebrating our anniversary this weekend too - #1!

Gooo Auburn... I'm a TN fan, but can root against GA!

I think your shoes turned out ADORABLE! I am wearing a rather blah pair of black loafers today and they would look much better with a little paint ;) Fabulous idea!

Update: I was not quire sure how the shoes would be perceived by others, but I must admit, I received complimnents on these cute little suckers all day long. So, in light of that, they will be seeing the light of day much more frequently!
PR, they were very easy to do and literally probaly took me slightly over an hour so here's hoping you get to work on your drab loafers this weekend! You won't be sorry!
Happy Anniversary Susan D! Ahh yes, I remember our 1st anniversary well... We are now up to #8 which is lace and copper so I don't think I'll be giving or getting etiher. At least I hope not, right?
It's OK Sarah, but yeah, come on back!

I can't get the quiz to work! Grrrrr. Oh, and for my feelings on laundry, go see my newest post. I'm understanding the backed up laundry issue. At least you have a dryer!!!

Sometimes I feel that way but honestly we really do get along rather well. We are unable to have children due to a medical condition I developed within our first year of marriage but we have 9 going on 11 nieces and nephews between us to keep us going.
Enjoy the day with your best friend!

I did not do so well on the Martha quiz. Guess I need to buy the book.

DOn't worry, you ALL have enough innter- Martha for me!

Thanks so much everyone for the anniversary wishes! I've noticed a shiny brown and white Coach box tied in that pretty red ribbon sitting on the counter all day. I sure hope he's not teasing me and there's a new iron or something in there!

MM - your blog is so much fun. Thanks for the quiz link! My score puts me in "Rachel Ray Country", which is about right for me. Much as I like etiquette and manners, my crafting and apparently cleaning skills just aren't up to par with Ms. Martha!

Also, congrats to you and Mr. M!

My heart just started beating a little faster when you mentioned the Coach box. Can't wait to see what was in it!
