Calling All West Virginian's

So while I was planning on doing another fabulous pumpkin post today, "real life" has gotten in my way and I'll be completely honest here. I'm not even in a navy and green mood today, but a navy and navy mood today (at best).

It seems a potential move is on the horizon and to say I am FURIOUS is a gross understatement. I will spare you all the gory details, but if anyone out there is from West VA, currently lives in West VA, or knows anything all about that state, please please please comment away. GOOD AND BAD. I prefer to hear the bad so I can eagerly share that with Mr. Monogram, but any info would be appreciated.

Meanwhile, I will be sitting here seething about this and cleaning the house. So at least something productive will come out of all this frustration and anger, right? Well that's my effort at looking at the glass half full today anyway.

P.S. I swear, we're back to our fall topics tomorrow!

Oh no! Are you moving?

All I know about WV is that a girl that lived down the hall from me in college was from there and she was preppy! Isn't Jennifer Garner from there?

MM,
I currently live in Loudoun County, VA which isn't too far away from WV. There are some good parts of WV and some not-so-good parts of WV. If you want to email me directly and tell me which area of WV the potential move is to I can ask my hubby what he knows about it. He works with some people who live in WV and commute an hour or so to Loudoun & Fairfax Counties in VA.

I don't know if we're moving yet as I was just hit with this little bombshell last night. This is unfortunately the way my life is with Mr. Monogram's position and I HATE IT. however, I will not get into my lengthy irritation right now though as I do not want to be such a downer today. But, we would be going to Charleston, WV if I agree to this which right now I am currently fighting tooth and nail.
SLC I would appreciate any help at all! Please email me directly at monogrammomma@charter.net
THank you!

Oh no, MM!! I have only been through WV on a drive down to NC, but I do remember thinking it was a beautiful state & I loved the fact that the speed limit on I81 was 70mph - so, how bad could it be??

Keep us posted on the plans ...

Jennifer Garner if definitely from WV! I don't think it's as bad as it sounds although moving is never really high on my list of "fun things".

My mother has friends who live in Charleston and it's not bad at all. As, slc mentioned, it's not too far from DC and there are some beautiful, historic areas there. Given the area of VA I currently live in, I'd jump at the chance to move to West Virginia.

Update: No news as of yet as I'm currently still entrenched in the battlefields over this. A few things worthy of noting that you may not know about me though, the most important being that I LOATHE CHANGE. I can not handle change, nor can my chemical imbalance if you get my drift. Now, take me even farther away from my family and friends than I already am and well, we've got ourselves a SERIUOS situation.
So unless I can be guaranteed that Jen Garner (who i LOVE , btw) would be my new BFF, I am going to continue to fight the valiant fight!
Thanks to everyone who's sending good vibes my way! ;-)

If you watch Design on a Dime on HGTV (I love that show) you might know that Kristan Cunningham is also from WV. She's adorable. I'll be thinking of you- hope it works out!

On one hand, moving stinks (we will be doing that also in the not too distant future), but on the other hand, having lived in 2 countries and seven states, I have always looked at it as an adventure - and a new house to decorate! That said, however, this next move will be my last (famous last words). WV is actually really pretty! Will be keeping you in my thoughts.
