Crafty Coupons & Discounts

I really don’t want to come off like a snob here, but generally speaking, I do not like coupons. Let me re-phrase that. You will never find me sitting around clipping coupons out of the mail or the Sunday paper. I think it is a big waste of time and quite honestly, a hoax to get you to buy a ton of products and items that you normally wouldn’t buy, therefore causing you to throw away more money that could easily be spent on another nice pair of cute flip flops or monogramming for that matter. However, that being said, I LOVE internet specials and electronic coupons and will certainly print up as many as they will allow me to use. So I wanted to pass along for all you needing a little extra motivation to get out the door and get started on some of your projects. First, Hobby Lobby is currently has a 40% off internet coupon. If you’ve never been to Hobby Lobby, I highly recommend you dash over there and check it out. It is phenomenal! They have the greatest home accessories and decorative items. Also, sign up to get on JoAnn’s mailing list and they will send you 40% off coupons pretty much weekly, as long as you continue to use them. They are also really good about accepting competitors coupons too, such as A.C. Moore, who also generously emailes me a 40% off coupon weekly, directly to my in-box. You can go to their website to get on their email list. As for Micheal’s Craft stores, sometimes they will come in the mail, or you can find one in the paper on Sundays (but you know I will most definitely not be sitting down hunting for it). However, as they are not too generous with their own coupons, they are great about accepting competitors coupons.

I’ve been a bit under the weather this week and today is looking to be like a rainy and overcast day. Thank goodness because my poor portulaca’s can use a serious drink! So while the mini monograms are looking ever cute in their navy and green matching Gymboree outfits, I think we’ll venture back out to the mall today to see if I can get a bit more shopping done. I’m also working on our menu for next weekend’s dinner party, so I’ll try to hop back on and fill you in on all the dinner party plans later today. So ‘til then, have a great morning and have fun shopping with your crafty coupons!

I hate coupons too...My favorite thing shopping on the internet is anyway to get free shipping...

NO KIDDING! Isn't that the greatest? Plus, I have to admit, I am much more inclined to buy more if they are offering free shipping. Or even if it's a flat $5 shipping like a lot of places are doing too, that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy too.

I always google "(insert company name here) coupon codes" and lots of different sites pop up with current codes! I just found free shipping at polo.com that way!

Having worked at a catalog company for a number of yrs (not any more), I love the feel of getting free shipping. I search to see where it is coming from and if I have to pay sales tax as well. Heck with the cost of gas at 3.30. It is worth it to look that extra bit.

WOW- I can't believe you are paying $3.30 for gas! I am still at $2.75 and even that is painful when I fill up my 30 gallon tank!

In the Chicagoland area it is even higher than 3.30 but this is one of the cheapest I have found.
